PA to Principal – Creative Arts Educational School

PA to Principal of established Creative Arts Related School based in the Epsom/Ewell area (Surrey).  This is a maternity role for 6 – 15 months. To support the Principal by running the Office particularly in respect of keeping records, managing the Principal’s diary and the day to day administration of the Principal’s Office. To liaise with the rest of the administration team on matters relating to the work of the Principal’s office and to disseminate information on strategic developments and other business matters as and when directed by the Principal. To liaise with internal and external groups and individuals on behalf of the Principal and to run projects as and when directed.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • General correspondence on behalf of the Principal’s Office
  • Diary organisation
  • Day to day management of Principal’s Office
  • Organising all events and arranging in consultation with the Principal all guests lists and VIP receptions
  • Making sure staff and student files are properly kept and ensuring that the Principal has appropriate papers for meetings, correspondence etc
  • Liaising with other staff concerning diary and calendar matters
  • Hospitality for Principal and guests
  • Any other duties relevant to the running of the Principal’s office and the business of the College which is directly controlled by the Principal

Other Duties

  • To act as Administrator for the Adult classes and courses
  • General Administrative duties as and when required and directed by the Principal

 

Personal Attributes:

 

  • Confidentiality and Diplomacy
  • An ability and affinity to work in a creative environment
  • 5 years experience working in a PA and or in higher education/training
  • Knowledge of IT. Administration and database systems
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • A creative or theatrical/dance background is an advantage

 

 

This is a maternity leave which is active from mid May 2017 and is up to 15 months – salary is up to £38k p.a. and also open to working Part-time – 3 days a week at a pro rata salary.
